•        Maintained optimal service while experiencing staff cuts of 25%.

•        Started a new automated packaging facility with eleven lines using a combination of existing and new equipment while boosting production in the original facility.

•        Introduced the plant-wide use of Continuous Improvement Initiatives including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for performance analysis and injury reduction.

•        Held a leadership role in the development and start-up team for a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Maintenance Manager Team Leader,   General Mills, Hannibal, MO              December 2006 to June 2012

Full responsibility for Maintenance Teams servicing diverse production platforms.  Leading two salaried direct reports, 14 mechanics, and 4 Controls Technicians providing 24-hour coverage with a combined annual budget of $2,400,000 in a multi-platform food production facility.

•        Improved reliability of equipment from 12 minutes between failures to over 415 minutes.

•        Led the installation and start-up of the largest expansion project in General Mills’ history.

•        Integrated a CMMS EAM Program (Maximo) for General Mills at their Hannibal plant.

•        Developed the first Ammonia Process Safety Management (PSM) program for the plant.  Recognized by corporate safety as one of the best in the company for adherence and planning.

•        Led teams to achieve “Zero lost-time injuries.”

•        Developed the plant ARC Flash work practices guidance for technicians and mechanics.
